Kicking the season into gear with some exploratory rides to survey the damage from the December '25 windstorms. Check out what we found below:

Crosstown Connector #755

April 19, 2026
Starting from Summit, there's one good sized tree down just off the ski run, and one further down. Most of the trail is really wet and sloppy, with standing water in places, and 3-4" of fresh snow in others. The trail gets more rideable after the intersection with Timberline to Town #756, though still quite wet. The mud pit is much deeper than it's ever been, and needs some serious drainage work.

We're going to give it a week for the last storm cycle snow to finish melting and dry out, and then address the two trees and work on opening up some drainage.

Pioneer Bridle Trail #795

April 19, 2026
Including both upper and lower, there's around 20+ trees down, and a ton of debris to be cleaned up. Drainage seemed pretty good overall with a few exceptions...

The biggest one being the washed out PGE underground cable ditch that shares the trail corridor. It's the whole section just above the tunnel, and really no fun to walk, much less try to ride.

The Forest Service is aware and are working with PGE to resolve the issue. We'll update here as we know more.

There's also a bit of a realignment going on at the Toll Gate TH, as the trail/rut we've always ridden has some big logs in it, and the alternate (existing) line is to the left, between the boulder and post.

We'll be logging out lower Bridle first, currently penciled in for May 3rd, followed by upper once the ditch is fixed.

Timberline to Town #756

April 19, 2026
For those asking...we checked out the bottom 100 or so meters of the trail - it's still under significant snow, and there's at least 8-10 trees down just in the first 50m.
